Personal LifeEdit

Baynton was born in Essex, England on the 18th of November, 1980. He is professionally known as Mathew Baynton, but to fans and friends he's known simply as "Mat". Baynton has a son, Bo (b. 2011) and a daughter Ida (b. 2016).   The name of Bo's mother went unknown until recent years when Baynton married her after being in relationship with her since they were 19. Bo's mother is Kelly, a film historian and an actress in the silent films. Baynton tries to keep Bo and Ida out of the spotlight, however Bo possibly made a cameo in his father’s series Yonderland as the boy who receive King Bernard’s first charity coin. Baynton has raised awareness about breaking gender barriers after Bo was mocked in the park for wearing a pink bicycle helmet. Baynton has states that he is for letting his son express his likes and dislikes freely without categorising toys and colours in a girl and boy category.

  • He's left handed, however in Bill, he can be seen "writing" with his right
  • He is professionally credited as "Mathew Baynton", but everyone, including the public, know him as "Mat"
  • His nephew, Karl/Carl has Williams Syndrome. Karl/Carl appears in a sketch put together by Baynton and his Wrong Mans co star James Corden to raise awareness about Williams Syndrome
